Sick... Again

After a healthy couple of months, the girls are sick again with a nasty cough/cold/fever-causing virus. Yuck. You have to admit they're pretty cute here snuggled together on the couch watching Thomas the Train. I suppose the silver lining is that they'll hopefully be healthy by next week when we all head to the BEACH! Woo hoo!

Our poor, hot little Libby. She woke up feverish today from her nap and since I was busy preparing dinner, Joe just propped her on the couch while he practiced piano. She just sat there in the same position for 20 minutes (which if you know any toddlers, pretty much NEVER happens). Poor baby.

Family line-up

Siena was lining up our shoes the other day and insisted that we add a pair for the new baby. Pretty cute.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Green milk for breakfast. It was a huge hit with Libby... I think she drank 4 glasses.

We met our friends JJ and Foster for the annual parade in St. Louis. The incredible warm weather has continued -- it was in the 80's that day!

Daddy and Siena, who is sporting her handmade St. Pat's crown. Joe had just finished the St. Patrick's Day 5-mile race... Way to go, Daddy!

Here comes the leprauchaun balloon! Great parade.

Fun with Uncle Andy

We were all thrilled to have a recent visit from Uncle Andy, who hadn't seen the girls since Libby was only 6 months old! Needless to say they had a lot of catching up to do, and the visit didn't disappoint. The girls LOVED spending time with UA -- as Siena exclaimed, "I want to play with Uncle Andy every day!". He's off to India for 3 months now, but we can't wait for more playtime when we see him again in the fall.

Fun at the zoo. We had our hands full with both girls plus Siena's buddy Dylan, but had a great time on a beautiful day.

When some rain arrived we hit the City Museum. If you haven't been yet, this place is a must-see. It really is indescribable. Here the girls are having a ball on the little train.

Siena loved the indoor skate park.

Good buddies.

We did a lot of eating with Uncle Andy around thanks to his fine culinary skills. Siena was a big help when preparing some yummy eggplant lasagna.

Oh, Baby... It's a GIRL!

As most of our readers probably know by now, we're expecting Baby #3 in mid-July. We were so excited to find out this week that Baby #3 will also be Baby GIRL #3! Crazy!! After a shaky start due to a uterine blood clot, this pregnancy has finally reached a "normal" state and everything is looking great. I'm feeling good, baby looks beautiful... good news all around!! The entire family was able to attend the ultrasound, and the girls had a ball watching their baby sister wiggle around on the screen. They're SO excited about the baby and talk to her through my belly throughout the day. Hopefully they'll be this attentive once she arrives! I was a bit on the fence this time about finding out the baby's sex, but I have to say that knowing boy/girl definitely makes the pregnancy seem much more real. It's easy to forget when you're feeling good and constantly trying to keep up with two other little ones. Now all I can do is think about a houseful of girls... wow, that's a lot of hair to brush. :) Of course, it'll be such a joy watching them grow together and (hopefully) be the best of friends when they're older. And as one of my friends noted, Joe should be counting his blessings that he has so many girls to take care of him when he's an old man! We can't wait to meet you, Firecracker Flower the Dragon Ladybug!
