It's not always easy to get Libby to smile at the camera, so I was thrilled to capture this cute moment.  The girls had been playing "firefighter" and saving their dolls from a burning piano.  :)

Colorado Highlights

It was quite the trip out to Colorado this fall, starting with my flying solo with all three of my girlies in tow.  Wow...  that was crazy. :)  I learned my lesson with Libby on the flight over and flew back home with her strapped in the carseat -- those little airplane seatbelts do NOT contain a tantrum-prone toddler!  The "vacation" itself was not exactly relaxing, but such is life nowadays -- at least I was working hard in a beautiful setting!  The girls had a great time though and it was wonderful to get back to the mountains for a few weeks.  Thanks to Winnie and Picky for all of your help!

The timing of Lindsay's wedding couldn't have worked out better, as my friend Amie's wedding was just two weeks later down in Durango.  I had a great time with old camp buddies, and it was such fun traveling with little Margaret.  She's a trooper!  I have to mention that the drive through the San Juans was absolutely breathtaking -- how I miss SW Colorado!

Big Wedding Weekend!

Well, we've been home from Colorado for a couple of weeks now, so I suppose it's time to post some photos! We started our 2-week trip out west with a fabulous wedding weekend for Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Jeremy. I admit that I'd been stressing over the weekend logistics for months, specifically how I was going to handle juggling matron-of-honor duties with a newborn and two flower girls in tow! Needless to say it was a BUSY few days for our little family, but thanks to Joe and our weekend "nanny" Christina, I was actually able to enjoy the events with family and friends. The wedding day itself was spectacular, and we couldn't be happier for Mr. and Mrs. Facknitz. Our little flower girls had a ball, too! There are literally thousands of photos from the weekend, and most of them I still haven't seen... Here are a few family photos I snagged off the photographer's blog:

My little snuggler.  Poor little Libby was about at the end of her rope when it was finally time to walk down the isle and refused to wear her flower crown.  I ended up carrying her, which worked out just fine.  It's tough to be two!

Smiley Girl

Thanks for being patient with me as I attempt to catch up this blog...  I'm still sorting through photos of our epic trip to Colorado, but in the meantime here's a little update on our Margaret Rose:

At 2 1/2 months, Margaret is such a sweet, mellow, smiley little one.  Thank goodness too, because life can otherwise be quite the circus around here!  She brings such joy to all of us and I can't express how wonderful it is to have such a loving baby in our lives.  Her constant smiles just can't be beat.  At this point she may only fuss a little when she's about to go to sleep, and she's even tolerating the car seat now.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that her temperament doesn't change much in the next few years!  Here are some fun recent photos:

Siena-isms

Time to start recording some of the Siena's silly statements before we forget!

Some of the best come during nighttime prayers...  After praying for our family and friends the other night, Siena said "Daddy, now we need to pray for the people who REALLY need help. Like the people who live in California. And O'Fallon."

Siena: Mommy, did you know that these are GIRL Santas?
Me: Why is that?
Siena: Because they have eyelashes, see?
Me: Can't boys have eyelashes, too?
Siena: Yeah, some of them. But the ones that fly don't.

When discussing the long journey the wise men had to take on camel back to visit baby Jesus, Siena asked, "did they get to watch a movie on their camels?" Siena always gets to watch a movie in the car when she takes a long journey.
