Nine Month Update

It's hard to believe Elizabeth is already 9 months old... These days are certainly a blur! I love this stage of babyhood. She's babbling all the time now -- ma ma, da da, dee dee, etc. She is pulling up to stand every chance she gets and is cruising where she can. Since many of Siena's toys aren't exactly infant proof (tricycle, shopping cart, kitchen), Libby has had her share of bumps as she tries to "play" with them by pulling up. She's a tough kid, for sure! I'm just hoping she puts off walking for a few more months... She loves crawling through tight spaces such as under the table, under Siena's crib, and under the coffee table. Bathrooms hold a special fascination for some reason and I have to remember to close the bathroom doors to keep her out. She smiles and laughs easily and loves playing with her big sister (as long as Siena is in a sharing mood, which can be rare!). Her two upper teeth are getting bigger by the day, but probably won't be visible in her smile for a month or so. When she's in her high chair she means business, and is a champion eater. After dealing with Siena's picky-eater ways, it's so refreshing to have a baby who will eat practically anything you feed her. Libby also continues to be a wonderful sleeper and usually sleeps through the night. My favorite time with her during the day is her first morning feeding around 6:30 am. I'll hear her babbling in her crib and we'll snuggle, smile, and laugh together while the rest of the house is asleep. Such a joy! All in all, she's an easy baby at this point. The challenges of our days come when Siena is thrown into the mix, but that's news for a later post. :) Happy 9 months, Elizabeth Jane!
