Colorado Highlights, Part One
Our Colorado vacation has thus far been nothing short of fantastic... A gorgeous setting, fun times with family and old friends, and lots of relaxation (at least as much relaxation as is possible with a newborn and toddler in tow!). We are so fortunate that my parents have built a wonderful house near our former "hometown" of Glenwood Springs. I could definitely get used to this life!
Our vacation began with the Conway-Turner reunion, set here in beautiful Carbondale, Colorado. Picky was in charge of the Scottish-themed field games such as the "caber toss," pictured here.
The egg toss, a reunion classic.
Siena enjoys an ice cream after the field games. This picture was taken shortly before the entire scoop of ice cream fell on the ground.
Libby relaxes with Auntie Putz by the pool. This was the first time Lindsay had met her new niece.
Siena's shiner, sustained after falling on a rock at the final reunion dinner. Combined with a scraped-up knee, she looks like a pretty tough kid!
Elizabeth spends some quality time with Winnie and Casey the dog.
Sister love.
Enjoying a picnic dinner with Winnie and Pops just before a jazz concert in one of Glenwood's parks.
Visiting Aunt Jillene's chicken coop was a huge hit with Siena, who is obsessed with anything animal-related. Jillene is raising 20+ baby chickens, so you can imagine Siena's excitement!
Coloring (or watering, not sure which...) while waiting for breakfast at the Smithy, one of our favorite local restaurants.
Libby's favorite spot while dining out these days...
